On Tuesday July 8th, 2008 shareholders had filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on behalf of purchasers of MRV Communications, Inc. during the proposed class period between March 31, 2003 through June 5, 2008 against Optical components supplier MRV Communications Inc. over option backdating. MRV is a supplier of communications equipment and services to carriers, governments and enterprise customers worldwide. The Lawsuit was filed after announcing last month on June 5, 2008 that its previously-issued financial statements, earnings press releases, and similar communications should no longer be relied upon and it expects to restate its financial statements from 2002 to 2008 due to misdated stock option grants. Upon disclosure of this news, MRV Communications Inc.’s share price decresed approximately 24%. If an investor purchased MRV Communications Inc. common stock during the period described above, the investor has certain rights, and will have until no later than 60 days from July 8, 2008 to do the right actions.
